Hi girls! Ya know, I realize that there are a lot of things that I want to do in this life- but I consider teaching you girls about God is one of my biggest responsibilities. As you were growing up, I always wanted to be intentional about this. Remember the car rides when it was just you and I, and I would turn down the radio and ask you questions, or ask if you had any questions for me? Remember I would just teach you about God in some way? The books we would read and the lessons we would go over? Our Bible reading and the stories about Jesus? Remember worshipping in the car to our favorite worship songs? I remember when I would tell you stories about how God answered my prayers and the miracles that I’ve experienced, and the thought occurred to me. There are so many interactions and answered prayer and incredible things that Ive experienced with Jesus, and I want you to know all of them! So many times, Jesus does something awesome and spectacular and It changes our life and impacts how we think and act and we grow closer to God…..then over time, we forget. It seems good to record them within this website.

I want this whole website to have a theme- I want it to be encouraging. I want I want this website to be something that will pour truth into your life no matter what mood you are in anid no matter what feeling is dominating your current day. Because you girls have to remember, feelings are good, but they do not change what is true. Like the fact that God loves you. That doesn’t change no matter what mood your in or what season of life you are going through. Think about, the truth cannot change, otherwise it wouldn’t be true. Feelings change all the time.

There are also so many experiences that I have had with Jesus and i want you you to hear them. Right now, Celia, you are 7 and Natalia, you are are almost 2. Ariella is 17 and Julia 15. There are a lot of things I haven’t told you, so this is also a good project for me as well. It will remind me of the fun times and great miracles that God has done and i will record them here. I will have many testimonies and a lot of evidence of what God has done through men and for me. It will be fun to write these down for you girls.

When I completely surrendered my life to Jesus, I had a wonderful, intense and unique time with God that lasted about 6 months. This was like a 6 month vacation where I was making up for lost time and learning so much about God and He was teaching me so much. i wrote down so many lessons, modern day proverbs and truths. It seems like a great idea to use this website to preserve these things. If you don’t feel like reading a lot and you want some encouragement from your Dad, you can read one real quick and we can share a thought together. A thought that you can be sure affected me at some point in my life.

I also want to talk to you like an adult and share some of my current struggles…and victories! But you girls are so little. I think it would be nice for you to hear stories about my life, so I’ll type like your older- It’ll be me, talking to future you. Sounds kind of weird, but maybe when you are older it wil be fun to read-

I want to include things I’ve learned in the world of apologetics…the defense for faith in God. I don’t know how much things will change when we are all older, but right now, there are so many people that don’t even believe in God. People that do not want to believe in God and they want to continue living the way they are living so they come up with questions that you will no doubt hear. Questions that you will wonder about- questions like how do we know God is real? how do we know the Bible is the word of God? If God is real why is there bad stuff that happens? There are answers to all these questions because the truth cannot be knocked down. Girls, the funny thing is, most people do not want to even know the answer to these questions. They simply use these questions so they can keep doing what they are doing. If someone is truly seeking the truth, the truth will be found. But most people with these questions are not sincer when they ask. I would love for you to be able to know these answers, both for your own faith and so you can help those that do want to know the answers to questions that are out there. Girls, our faith in God is not some blind faith where we close our eyes and take an unknown step. Many people do take a blind leap into something they do not know and begin to follow Jesus. Thank you God! But there is so much overwhelming evidence for God’s existence, love and character. I would love to write and share with you on all of this.

So there will be some stories, encouragements, pictures, prayers, things I’ve learned, observed and seen, insights, advice and probablly some ramblings as well……But i want all of them to point to God as He is th only one that matters. He is our future and He is our eternity and He is our hope. We will all be together forever, in paradise because God is good.

I love you girls more than you can know, and I am SO thankful that God gave me the privilege of raising you to know Him.
